Confusion

This confusion’s running around my mind
What’s this
Have I really changed the hands of time
Where do I being
Where do I start
How has he gotten so deep in my heart
He’s soft to the touch
But tough as nails
He’s there when I need him
When all else fails
He’s there to hold me
When I am hurt
Yet stabs me in the back
When it all starts to work
When did this dream become reality
And when did this reality
Start staring back at me
He’s the last person I thought I’d have in store
