We chose to make the Bath Fizzie’s one day. Both my kids loved getting their hands right in there to make the bath fizzie’s. The hardest part for them was having to wait to be able to use them. These turned out so cute. They smell so good. And were so much fun to make! Great gifts for any one who loves to make fun things!
My kids both are lip balm obsessed. They are constantly stealing my lip balm, even when I buy them their own. So making the lip balms together was so much fun. And I am happy to report these are fantastic lip balms. I was honestly expecting for these to turn out more like a children’s play lip balm. But I used it, and I may be stealing a stick of it from my kids. My lips felt so much softer in just one use then they do with the lip balms I have been using from the store.
My boys chose to try the soap making kit. Which, with it being cold and flu season right now, and a harsh one at that. What kind of parent would I be to not encourage them to wash their hands more?
I got the kit all out, and started checking out the instructions. The soap kit makes sixteen soaps. Which worried me that we would be there for a while at first, because even though I was ready to play mad scientist, I was also needing to make dinner soon. But, thankfully they have instructions to make two soaps at a time. So we did just that. This will also help the kits last longer, and not let product go to waste.
I let each of the boys help me, I broke off one chunk of the glycerin and followed all the instructions. I thought it was great that this kit comes with everything you need to make it. Down to the little spatula to mix your color and scent in. My older son wanted to pick out the scent, he went for jasmine. Which then left my younger son picking out color, which was blue. This kit came with two scents and two colors. So all of your soap can be different. I had each of them help me with different steps through out the process and they loved it. Then both kids picked out a mold to pour the soap into, I did the pouring, and silly me didn’t get the beak on the penguin, so it just looks like the back end of a penguin. But having boys, my older son Jason thought it was hilarious that he got to wash his hands with a penguin butt.
These would be great Christmas gifts for boys and girls. These are made with organic ingredients, so you don’t have to worry about what weird things that your kids could be using on their face and hands. Plus one dollar from each purchase goes to charity to help children facing life threatening illnesses.
