Review: The Macaron Store

There are so many kinds of cookies out there on the shelves but thanks to the Macaron Store I may never eat another regular run of the mill cookie again!   As soon as I opened the box of Macaroons, they looked so delicious and almost too pretty to eat but that didn’t stop me from digging right in.

I’m not sure of the flavors that I received, as there was no itinerary attached so I’m just going to guess by the taste.   The beautiful blue box contains 12 cookies and 6 assorted flavors although they do come in a larger range of flavors in which you’ll be able to check out by visiting their website.  I believe the three I have tried thus far have been Cookies & Cream, Raspberry and Strawberry Champagne. Each one being eIMG_1596ven better than the last.

Upon first biting into the Macaroon I noticed how extremely FRESH they were.  The cookie itself was very airy, soft and easy to bite into and the cream was fluffy and light with a meringue like texture. These contain absolutely NO additives or artificial coloring.

This is the description of the box I received:

Featuring all of the flavors you’ve come to love. Chef Alexandre brings together all-natural ingredients picked and harvested at their peak freshness. Enjoy the zesty tang of his Orange and Lemon Macaroons, the premium California nuts throughout his Almond and Pistachio fair and embrace the pure pleasure of rich, deep Espresso. Chef Alexandre balances the rich, culinary traditions of his native France with unmatched attention to detail and sheer passion for his art. We promise you’ll be nothing short of blown away after tasting a dessert fit for the gods!

These little French gems are a delight that would make a wonderful gift for Mothers Day or ANY day for that matter.  I salute you, Chef Alexandre! These are by far the best cookies I have ever eaten.  Would I purchase these in the future? YES!

Everything about these get an A+ from me. From the presentation to the texture of the cookie, the cream filling, the flavors and last but not least the gorgeous blue box they arrive in. I’ll never forget my very first Macaroon experience, thanks to The Macaron Store!
