One Pot Chili with Johnsonville Sausage

Super easy recipe to help you keep warm on the upcoming chilly fall nights.  Best part about this is you can cook everything in the same pot and not have to mess up more dishes than necessary!  Happy eating!

One Pot 5 Ingredient Chili

Difficulty: Easy

Yields: 4-6 Servings

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 Minutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients

~ 1 lb. Johnsonville Cooking Sausage (If you would ground beef or turkey, go for it)

~ 3 (15 oz.) cans diced tomatoes with green chilies

~ 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, or whatever type of beans you desire, drained

~ 1 small white onion, diced

~ 2 Tbsp. chili powder

Directions:

In a large cook Sausage (or ground beef or turkey) over medium-high heat until browned, stirring frequently.  Drain the excess grease. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the onion is cooked and softened.

Serve warm with optional toppings.

***Note: If you like your chili a little less spicy, only put one tablespoon of chili powder in.  this has quite a kick to it otherwise!

I put rice, then cheese on mine, then I put the chili on top of it.  This chili was amazing and I think the Johnsonville sausage is what did the trick!
