Ever since I was young, I have always been fascinated with Chuck E Cheese’s. I have very fond memories of going there when I was young. I remember celebrating practically every milestone and in my birthday in my life at Chuck E Cheese’s. I even had me Sweet 16 party, my 21st birthday party, 25th birthday party and every one in between here and there, yet I don’t remember ever having a set up party, we always set up our own and brought our own stuff to party with.
When I was offered the opportunity to Party Like It’s Your Birthday for a review, you know I was all over it.
When I first signed up to do the party, I’m going to be honest – I was not expecting it to be an all out party. I expected a few decorations to be slapped on a table and us to be left to our own devices, which is why we have never had a party set up for us. Boy, was I wrong in my assumption.
From the second I walked through the door and the birthday child arrived, it was fun from the get go. First thing they did was set us up at our table, all decorated with Chuck E plates, cups, table cloth and all the trimmings. There were even two goodie bags for the kids, both with their special birthday cups.
What I really love about the Party Like It’s Your Birthday is that you are in control of what happens . unlike most birthday setting, Chuck E Cheese’s allows YOU to be in control of when the pizza comes out, when they get sung to, and when the ticket blaster happens.
We had it so our pizza came out about 45 minutes into the party, which allowed the kids, and the adults, to play games before dining on pizza.
After we played a few games, we all gathered at the table and ate our pizza.

After dining , we all went back to play some games and then, Chuck himself came out and sang happy birthday, along with our wonderful host of the evening. I love that not only did they provide a beautiful white sheet cake for us, they also provided ice cream!
After we are all full from our cake and ice cream and just about gamed out, we did the last part of the party – the ticket blaster!!!
After this wonderful experience wound down, we didn’t even have to worry about clean up – our wonderful host bussed and cleaned the table for us.
This was such an amazing experience it makes me wonder why we have never tried it before!!

When I was growing up, we had a number of our birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese’s! It was the “in” thing when I was a kid. It was like the one time a year we got to go unless we were asked to someone else’s party so it was always a real treat. Like you, my parents always took our own decorations because they didn’t think it would be worth the cost.
I am looking at all of your pictures and WOW! My daughter has a birthday and she mentioned Chuck E. Cheese. Now that we are seeing this, I am going to look into it this evening when he gets home from work.

This is so awesome!!! We took our kids for the first time in April of this year when our son turned 10 and begged to have his party there. We didn’t set it up but just showed up, ate pizza, and of course, played games. I think we may just set up a party with Chuck E. Cheese ahead of time next year. Chuck E is literally 10 minutes away and a little too close to the movie theatre and Target so every time we pass by my 3 yr old wants to go in. We had her 2nd birthday party there and ever since then she’s been obsessed. 🙂
My boys absolutely love Chuck E Cheese!!!! We took them there this past summer when we went on a mini vacation to there when we were in Billings, MT and now everytime we go there they think we need to eat there lol!!! Great review I haven’t had a chance to have one of their birthdays there but if we are ever close to one we are def going to try to have our parties there!
