Thank you to the wonderful people at Blue Chip Marketing, P&G, Pampers, and Babies R Us for allowing me to participate in such a wonderful promotion, and also for supplying me with not one, but TWO boxes to give away!

I have requested the help of my sister with this promotion. While I have been playing super auntie the past 11 months, there’s nothing like a mother’s perspective when it comes to taking care of little ones, so why not leave it to the experts?

Special thank you to my sister, Sandy, and my wonderful niece, Lucy for helping me out with this review and giveaway!

Sandy and Lucy V Day

Have you ever tried to heard a thousand wild cats in the middle of a thunderstorm?  Sometimes, traveling with baby can feel like that, especially for new moms.  Gone are the days of, “I just have to pick up one thing – it’ll take me five minutes.”  Now, it may take five minutes to get your little one out of the car.  Plus, Murphy’s Law dictates that anything that can go wrong in those 5 minutes probably will.  Explosive dirty diaper?  Check!  Baby wants to eat NOW NOW NOW?  Check!  Here are some tips to help keep your sanity during not only those “quick trips” to the grocery store, but also those longer trips you may take during baby’s first year.

Prepare for the Worst

Sure, you may think it’s an in-and-out trip, but these are usually the times when you find your little one needing a diaper change.  In addition to keeping your diaper bag in your car, consider keeping a small portable changing station handy with the essentials:  diapers, wipes, cream, powder, etc.  The size of a small handbag, the “Changing Station” from Babies-r-Us has everything you need at your fingertips.  The bag itself doubles as a changing pad – because nothing is more obnoxious than finding a changing table only to discover that there are no table liners.  (What IS that on there?!)  It also has a place for hand sanitizer – a must for the mom on the go.  Because let’s face it – what new mom can balance the baby, diaper bag/changing station, AND wash their hands at the same time? Changing StationPampers Baby Fresh

Monster Sized Hunger

Feeding Time

Take my word on this:  It’s nothing for baby to go from happy and content to a ravenously hungry beast in 2.5 seconds flat.  Whether you’re leaving the house for several hours or all day, it is important to make sure you have everything that baby may need during the day.  During the first few months, it is especially important to make sure that baby’s formula and food is handled properly – their digestive systems are adjusting to the outside world, and you don’t want to give them anything that has been sitting out too long and may have developed harmful bacteria.  .  BRU has a set of “Bottle and Baby Food Totes” that helps make this a breeze!  The large cooler contains a reusable ice pack, which allows you to keep baby’s bottles on ice until baby is ready for them.  It fits multiple sized bottles, and has straps that secure the bottles in place.  You can also slide a small container of snacks in there as your baby gets older – finger foods to keep baby occupied for the win!  The smaller tote has room for not only 3 jars of baby food, but it also has a place to slide your utensils in the lid.  You have everything at your fingertips and can rest easy knowing that you are prepared for any situation.

Food Totes

Being a new mom is daunting, but Babies “R” Us has many tools that will help make finding a routine easy.  Just remember that you are learning as you go, and give yourself a break. You won’t be Super Mom in the beginning, but as your little one gets older, you will see yourself becoming a Super Mom in their eyes.

Thank you once again to Sandy for the wonderful tips on how to stay sane with a baby on the go!

  1. Hi, Thanks you so much for an amazing giveaway! I have a little nephew who lives in Ukraine with my sister and I would love to buy him some clothes and toys and send it over to him. It would be a huge help for my sister. Thank you for a chance! 🙂

  2. I’d keep the gift card while giving the rest away to expectant mothers whom are friends!

  3. As a fairly new mom myself, I’m not sure what I would use the Gift Card for but it would be great to win! Diapers are always needed, so I can’t go wrong stocking up on those for sure. 🙂

  4. I would spend it on someone else (hopefully my daughter in law – I want a grandbaby soon)! Joy of giving trumps most things in life for me.
