Week02

Let me start this off by saying what some might consider to be too much information, this week was shark week (AKA my period), so I have had a few cravings and some bloating.  Also, last week was rough emotionally, so I did splurge and emotional eat.  I ended up gaining weight last week, but never fear – I am back on track and ready to knock it out this week.  One day at a time, one pound at a time.  Overall, this week was a success, as I didn’t give completely up.  Next week, I am back on it full force.

I have been eating every 2-3 hours, 6-7 times a day. Here is what my food schedule looks like, as it has changed from last week:

~ Nutrisystem Breakfast entrée and a power fuel within an hour of waking up

~ 2-3 hours later, snack of a power protein and a Smart Carb

~ 2-3 hours later, Nutrisystem lunch entrée provided, and at least two servings of non-starchy veggies

~ 2-3 hours later, snack of a power fuel and a smart carb

~ 2-3 hours later, Nutrisystem dinner entree with an extra power fuel and smart carb, and at least two more servings of non starchy veggies

~ Snack provided by Nutrisystem

Random musings from the week

13043350_10156844776385615_3663197435638128139_nMonday, April 18, 2016 – today marks the start of the third week I have been on my Nutrisystem journey.  I weighed in this morning and am more confident than ever in not only the program, but my ability to do this program.  I have lost 10 pounds in two weeks and that is the most I have lost in a long time with any other diet.  I know I keep saying this, but this is something I feel like I can maintain long term, and that is saying a lot.  I have done so many diets in the past where I have lost 5 or 6 pounds, then went right back to my old habits and my old ways.  I feel like with Nutrisystem, I am breaking old habits of over eating the feeling miserable, and making the new habits of eating the right food and the right portions.  One day at a time, one pound at a time, I am on the journey of a lifetime and I am going to lose this weight for good.  You can do this, Misty – I have faith in you.

Tuesday, April 19, 2016 – must confess – yesterday, I was weak, and ate my Nutrisystem dinner with Brussel sprouts, then had a piece of pizza, two garlic knots and one of those small apple pie thingies.  I weighed in this morning just to see what damage I did, and I weighed almost two pounds heavier than weigh in yesterday.  Honestly, I don’t think it’s possible for me to have gained two pounds just from a slice of pizza, however, I am getting back on track starting tomorrow.  I stayed on track today, except I had a bowl of chips for my snack instead of something a little healthier, but tomorrow is another day.  I can’t kick myself in the ass and sit around and feel bad for the splurge meals and snacks, all I can do is write them down in my journal, and learn what I can do and learn what I can’t do.  Baby steps.  I didn’t get fat over night, and I won’t be getting healthy overnight.

Starting weight: 291.8

Weight Last Week: 281.6

This Weeks Weight: 285.2

Total Weight Loss: 6.6

I’m up, but not out.  Just get myself back on track and I got this.

See you guys next time with a Nutrisystem update!
