13012841_10156816886030615_5937848471282488281_nThis week seemed to be a bit easier, as I am adding different foods and more food to my diet.  I am eating all the time, which is another plus.  The first week had its ups and downs, not going to sit here and tell you it was perfect, as that would be a lie.  Nothing in life is ever as you imagined it would be.  I thought this would be a lot harder than it is, knock on wood, I hope the remainder of this program is as simple as this part was.

I have been eating every 2-3 hours, 6-7 times a day. Here is what my food schedule looks like, as it has changed from last week:

~ Nutrisystem Breakfast entrée and a power fuel within an hour of waking up

~ 2-3 hours later, snack of a power protein and a Smart Carb

~ 2-3 hours later, Nutrisystem lunch entrée provided, and at least two servings of non-starchy veggies

~ 2-3 hours later, snack of a power fuel and a smart carb

~ 2-3 hours later, Nutrisystem dinner entree with an extra power fuel and smart carb, and at least two more servings of non starchy veggies

This week was full of ups and downs, mentally and on the scale, but I kept a level head through it all, and am ready for the next week!

Wednesday, April 13: Let’s be honest here – I am one of those neurotic people who weigh every single day, sometimes multiple times a day.  I know, I know, you’re only supposed to weigh in once a week.  I justify this action by only logging it on Monday morning, right before I take my pictures.  But, when I am seeing the scale constantly going up and down, up and down, even though I know in my head my weight is going to change day to day and I am doing the program right, I just feel a little disheartened when the scale reflects that I am heavier than I was last week, even though it’s not my weigh in day.  I am staying under what my Numi tracker says I need to eat everyday to lose weight.  Though a little bit shaken today, I am going to keep pushing on, and try to figure out why I’m gaining weight, and keep pushing on.

I kept pushing on with the diet, all the way through the weekend, which is usually my downfall, and came out more confident than I have ever been with a diet.  I though for sure I was going to mess up on the weekends, as we are always on the go and sometimes it’s hard for me to keep myself on track.  My boyfriend has been more than supportive, and although last night I sis have a handful of chips that was extra, I am confident in moving forward in this program, and I think I have found a program I am going to be sticking to.12990994_10156831852565615_5520641871450713799_n

I can start to feel in my clothes and I can start to see when I look in the mirror the physical changes in my body.  My dad even gave me a compliment on how I look, and that gave me more of a confidence boost and drive to stick to this program than losing any amount of weight.  The people around me are starting to notice a difference, as I am, and I am feeling great about the way I am fueling my body.

It’s a slow process, but I am learning what’s better for me may not be the tastiest thing in the world, but it’s what I need to keep my body running. Think about it this way – your car is your body, the food you eat is the fuel for that body. You wouldn’t put crappy fuel into your car, so why put crappy “fuel” in your body? I am not perfect. I will stumble. I will fall “off the wagon”. But that’s life.  It’s not about how many times you fall off the wagon, it’s about making sure that you get back up on it one more time than falling. I got my eye on the prize!

It has probably been a year, if not longer, since I have been this light.  As I keep saying, I still have a long ways to go, and a lot of trial and error, but I am slowly going to knock this out – one pound at a time.

Today, I hit my 10 pounds lost milestone, and my Numi Tracker and Nutrisystem both took the time to congratulate me, and told me to log on to my Nutrisystem account and claim my 10 pounds lost bear.  That, to me, means this company is all about encouraging you to lose weight, and that it’s all about the little things that will add up and make a huge difference.
