All Natural Handmade Soaps | Giving Soaps Review

giving-soaps-logoEvery now and then you come across a bath and beauty product that you just can’t say no too – especially when that said product is homemade. I ran across a small business that makes homemade soaps, lotion and many other bath products – Giving Soaps.

Giving Soaps are all made of plant-derived materials. Everything that is made is either recyclable, reusable or compostable – even what they use to package their products in…

…this made me giggle out loud!

As I would warn all online customers: remember, I do pack with shredded reclaimed paper. If you unpack your goodies either on a smooth table surface, or on a flat bed sheet on the floor, you won’t have to vacuum. Or…if you enjoy vacuuming, feel free to run about your home, throwing opening the box bit by bit as you go.

And it’s true, I recycled the box AND the shredded reclaimed paper.

So, I was given the opportunity to choose what I wanted. I know that one of my favorite handmade fragrance is Milk and Honey – that was my first destination.

Oatmeal Milk & Honey Bar Soap

I cannot explain to you the smell of Oatmeal Milk and Honey – it’s a sweet, yet relaxed fragrance. This soap is made from goat’s milk, honey and real oats.

I also choose this type of soap bar, because oatmeal, honey and milk is great for sensitive skin. Especially, since it’s gotten cooler outside, this soap will help with itchy irritated skin, as well as during the warmer months for those who suffer with some sort of skin allergy.

You know if I chose Oatmeal Milk and Honey Bar Soap, I had to get the lotion too!

Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Body Lotion

This lotion is one of Giving Soaps best sellers. Vegan made and plant derived ingredients will actually moisturize skin, instead of leaving a “mask” of oil. This lotion again, is perfect for winter weather itch problems and dry skin. I love it!!

Facial Bar (4.2 oz)

I am all about having a clean and healthy face. Giving Soaps facial bar is amazing! The ingredients in this face bar does not dry your face out, yet does not overly moisturize your face either. IT’s a beautiful marriage of activated charcoal (which is said to draw impurities, dirt and oil from the skin) and rose clay (helps your skin regulate its natural moisture balance (as in, not stripping your natural oils away).)

Of course I had to get a soap sweater! I have never even heard of soap sweaters until I saw this one. There are two different kinds of soap sweaters – Ramie sweater, which is a more gentle exfoliation and Boucle sweater, which is a more aggressive exfoliation, like ‘microderm’ for your whole body. The Boucle sweater is amazing! The soap sweaters also help keep your soap from disappearing to quickly as well. Just make sure you hang dry the sweater with the soap in it and the soap and sweater will be go to go at your next shower!
