First and foremost a HUGE thank you to Lisa, the owner of Garden Of Flavor for giving me this wonderful opportunity to reviews their 3 day cleanse!
I was sent the 3 day cleanse, which includes six bottles each day for 3 days along with an extra 6 bottles of “Green Harmony” and 6 bottles of the “Mean Green” to get a feel for the juice before I started the actual cleansing. Before I go on, I’d like to go over the juices a little bit with you.
Juice #1: Goji Pineapple
“Packed with protein, amino acids and three times more antioxidants than
blueberries, the Goji berry is our favorite super food. By combining Goji with pineapple, apple, mint and ginger, we create our own super drink that can provide a host of benefits, not to mention that it tastes amazing!” What’s in the Juice: Organic Pineapple, Organic Goji Berries, Organic Apple, Organic Ginger, Organic Mint, Organic Lemon.
Juice #2: Cucumber Fresh
“This light and delicious blend of vegetables and herbs invigorates, refreshes and rehydrates every cell in your body washing away the acidity created by digesting meat, sugar and dairy. Celery is rich in potassium and sodium. In fact, celery juice consumed after a workout serves as a great electrolyte replacement.” What’s in the Juice: Organic Cucumber, Organic Celery, Organic Parsley, Organic Lemon.
Juice #3: Mean Green
“The ultimate nutrient packed green drink full of chlorophyll that quickly lowers acidity and balances pH. These highly alkalinizing greens counter the damage done by the corrosive acidic waste products from meat, sugar, dairy and other processed foods. Mean Green contains a significant portion of kale, the king of vegetables.” What’s in the Juice: Organic Celery, Organic Cucumber, Organic Kale, Organic Spinach, Organic Romaine, Organic Lemon.
Juice #4: Twisted Roots
“The perfect balance of carrots and beets will provide you with antioxidant compounds that help protect against cardiovascular disease and cancer. Carrots are packed full of beta-carotene, which protect cells against damaging free radicals. A sweet rush of flavor with just the right amount of tang is perfect for the 3 o’clock pick me up.” What’s in the Juice: Organic Carrot, Organic Beet, Organic Lemon.
Juice #5: White Knight
“Dessert in a bottle….alive, raw, delicious and satisfying. White Knight comes to your rescue after a hard workout or long day at the office. With its creamy, texture and semi-sweet flavor, this cashew nut milk is reminiscent of an old fashioned vanilla milkshake.” What’s in the Juice: Purified Water, Organic Cashew Nuts, Organic Agave Nectar, Organic Vanilla Bean, Organic Cinnamon.
Juice #6: Turmeric Tonic
“Energize and revive your senses with our crisp lemonade infused with three of our favorite ancient spices – cayenne, ginger and turmeric root. Although not part of the 3-day cleanse. I also received Green harmony which includes: Organic Cucumber, Organic Apples, Organic Romaine Lettuce, Organic Kale, Organic Celery, Organic Lemon, Organic Spinach, Organic Parsley and Over One Billion Deliverable Probiotic Cultures.
To begin the cleanse on the first day you begin with the Goji Pineapple juice. Not only is it a delicious drink to start the day, but it was also filling! Usually, I find that when I eat breakfast, often times I’m still hungry before lunch. Not with this drink. This one hit the spot and I was off to start my day.
The second juice of the day is the Cucumber Fresh. It had a very light and refreshing taste that made it easy to drink. I decided to eat a banana with it and they paired perfectly! You might want to try this as well.
The third juice was the Mean Green. It definitely lives up to its name. When I first opened a bottle of the Mean Green juice, I was a bit overwhelmed by the taste, as I’m not used to drinking green juices/drinks. After about half way through the bottle, it got much easier for me to drink, and I was chugging away! If you find it hard to get down you may want to add a very small amount of one of the more fruity juices until you get a better feel for it. It is a little rough.
Forth juice of the cleanse is the Twisted Roots. This one is by far my least favorite of the four so far. Extremely hard to get down. I grabbed some fresh pineapple from the fridge to add something sweet into the mix. This one will definitely take you a while to drink so be sure to have something to edge the taste.
For desert I drank the White Knight bottle of juice. Every other drink thus far has been worth it to get to this one! This is my favorite one! It has a thick consistency and the vanilla and cinnamon add together to blend into a magical, delicious treat!
Finally I drank the Tumeric Tonic juice. The smell hit my nose before I took a drink. I love lemon and the smell is simply amazing. The lemon is a tad strong but it is still very good. I drank this one before bedtime and it was a nice end to a great day!
You do this for 3 days straight and the cleanse works through your system, revitalizing you and making you feel better than ever! I liked doing this and definitely feel better than I did when I started it. This would be a great way to start any kind of diet you are about to try! All of the drinks are Non-GMO, Vegan, BPA-free & Gluten Free! The cleanse allows for soft fruits only! All I ate during this cleanse was pineapples and bananas. One of each on each day.
I would like to thank Lisa again for all of her support during this cleanse and for this amazing opportunity! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s ready to try a fast cleanse to start their diet or anyone who just wants to feel better!
