Everyone who knows me knows I am a huge Josh Gracin fan and have been from the beginning of his career on American Idol. I have seen him in concert dozens of times, and met him just about the same amount. The reason I chose this particular show to blog about is because Josh had an impact on me this time he has never presented before.

When I had met Josh in the past, I always felt rushed, almost like he was just there as an obligation and not genuinely wanting to hang out with fans and meet them. Don’t ask me why I felt this way, I just did. I stepped back from his concerts and events just to give him, as well as myself, a break, and Zach and I almost didn’t go to this show.
Boy, am I glad we did.
When I was talking to him this time, for the first time, possibly ever, I actually felt like he was paying attention to me and actually listening to what I was saying. His eyes didn’t wander. He wasn’t noticing the person behind me. He was making eye contact with me, and was listening to what I had to say. As trivial and almost childish as it seems, with celebrities, eye contact means everything to me; it means they’re engaged with you and genuinely care about what you have to say.
The concert was perhaps my favorite Josh Gracin concert ever, I made some new friends, and reconnected with an amazing artist I almost wrote off for good.
Thank you, Josh, for making that night one I will not soon forget.
